Document Information

Type: Deposition transcript (book excerpt)
File Size: 1.89 MB
Summary

This document appears to be a page from James Patterson's book (likely 'Filthy Rich') included in House Oversight files, containing a transcript of a deposition. A male deponent testifies about 6-10 phone calls with a woman named Rebecca (and her husband Michael) from Palm Beach, who claimed to be childhood friends of Virginia Roberts. The deponent asserts that Rebecca contacted him after Roberts' story appeared in newspapers to tell him it was part of a 'massive extortion plot,' though he denies being asked for money himself. The right side of the document is cropped, cutting off the ends of several sentences.
